A company is looking for a Certified Medical Coder - Remote. Key Responsibilities Code all types of cases using ICD-10-CM, PCS, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines Assist with training and mentoring new coding staff and coordinate coding meetings with the Clinical Documentation Improvement team Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, federal and state regulations, and facility requirements Required Qualifications, Training, and Education Associate degree in Health Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience Preferred Bachelor's degree Five (5) years of acute care inpatient and / or outpatient hospital coding experience Certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC; dual credentials preferred Ability to pass a coding exam before hiring
