Job descriptionUtilizing the CMMS, prepare weekly & daily work schedules by working closely with the Production Leaders, Schedulers, Maintenance Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, and contractors. Obtain information for materials and equipment required, including lead times, request quotes and order materials. Coordinate and communicate the details of materials, services, and tools to optimize Plan Execution. Perform job duties in a manner that follow food safety and quality guidelines including but not limited to HACCP, GMPs, QA Policies, Sanitation, and Pest Control. Review work order feedback information to improve future planning efforts. Develop and / or modify preventive maintenance programs based on OEM recommendations, root cause analysis results, and learnings from the maintenance team. Be the CMMS Super User who understands all aspects of the system and can train other team members. Create and track KPI’s by running reports from the CMMS. Own the Asset Hierarchy by identifying all assets and children’s assets in the CMMS. Manage work order backlog by handling long – and short-term planning. In partnership with the Maintenance Manager, assist in the development and optimization of preventive maintenance routines for all areas of the plant. Assists maintenance and production management in periodically analyzing costs and, where necessary recommend corrective action needed to reduce maintenance costs. Identify and implement cost saving ideas in maintaining the plant by managing the preventive maintenance program for the production lines and building maintenance. Maintain documentation necessary for operations including tracking work orders, requisitions, activity reports and daily logbook. Other duties, as assigned. High School Diploma or GED is required Must have 5 years maintenance scheduler experience. Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills. Planning capacity for coordination of multidisciplinary work. Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well and communicate in a timely manner with staff at all company levels. Strong technical IT knowledge with CMMS system experience, preferably SAP. Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings (P&ID, PFD, and Isometrics). Must have or meet requirements for a TWIC card. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp, move, or utilize objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to use sensory perception for quality measurement of products. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 15 pounds and infrequently lift and / or move 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus on computer and non-computer tasks

Job Purpose and Overview
The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities using the COGZ CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) at Dawn Foods, Louisville. They will leverage their technical knowledge to anticipate and eliminate potential delays by planning and coordinating maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler shall support and promote EHS procedures and policies and lead plant safety culture initiatives through their maintenance scheduling activities.
