Mobile Phlebotomist

Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary collections on a diverse patient population, including pediatric and geriatric patients
- Draw and prepare blood specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures
- Verify patient demographics and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of collections and patient information
- Create a professional, safe, and comfortable environment for patients during specimen collection
- Travel between multiple locations within the region to provide flexible coverage as needed
- Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including company dress code and healthcare safety protocols
- Exercise good judgment to make decisions following established procedures
- Demonstrate excellent customer focus, communication, and adaptability in high-volume settings
Required Skills
- Proven phlebotomy skills with 1-3 years of experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Attention to detail for specimen verification and documentation
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license; clean driving record required for travel
- Keyboard and data entry skills for accurate record keeping
Additional Skills & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington
- 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred, including in a patient service center environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime based on staffing needs
- Must demonstrate superior customer focus and ability to embrace change
- Travel between multiple sites and coverage with minimal notice; ability to submit mileage for expense reimbursement
