SS&C, through its BPO partnership with Lighthouse, is currently seeking a candidate who will be part of a multi-dimensional middle to back office operations, IT / Risk development and accounting department responsible for all aspects of post trade matching, trade capture, and all aspects of daily operations, treasury services, accounting and tax compliance, planning and reporting.  The ideal candidate is one who works or has worked within a multi-strategy hedge fund, financial institution or hedge fund administrator with solid exposure to fund accounting, OMS / PMS integration, middle office post trade reporting and operations .

What You Will Get To Do :

The position for SQL Server Developer & Report Writer primary reporting line is to the Director of Software Development and secondary reporting line to the Technology Co-Heads. The ideal candidate is proficient in T-SQL including creating tables, views, stored procedures, functions, CLR etc. that would be used in the reporting process. Competent in other disciplines like RDBMS concepts, query optimization, database normalization concepts, coding and naming standards, scheduling and delivery of reports. Candidate needs to be self-motivated, resourceful, excellent in time management, comfortable working with onshore and offshore resources in cross-functional teams.

  • Write stored procedure, functions, views, in SQL Server to facilitate reporting.
  • Create professional looking enterprise quality reports using SSRS.
  • Use of templates in SSRS for consistent look and feel of production quality reports.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses of operational issues and requirements

    • What You Will Bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL including views, tables, stored procedures, triggers, scalar and table values functions.
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS database structures, normalization concepts, indexes and query optimization concepts, ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Strong knowledge of SSRS reporting design and structure
  • Experience working with other reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Power BI and Tableau is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of working with Visual Studio, TFS and GIT environment with multiple team members
  • Knowledge of standards in software development and implementation
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and VBA
  • Highly motivated self-starter with an appetite for knowledge
  • Ability to understand reporting business requirements from business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple reports and tasks at once with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set, organize and meet priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Keep up to date with the latest development in technique, methodology and software availability.
  • Experience in financial services industry is a plus.
  • Experience with C# is a plus
  • Experience with ETL tools like SSIS is a plus
