Job Details
Responsibilities :
1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A / R, A / P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications :
1. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller with 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
2. Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA or CMA preferred.
3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
4. Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
5. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
6. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong experience in financial analysis and financial modeling.
8. Proven track record of process improvement and operational efficiency.
9. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
10. Ability to strategize and problem-solve effectively.
11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
