Stanford's Graduate School of Business (GSB) has built a global reputation based on its immersive and innovative management programs. We provide students a transformative leadership experience, pushing the boundaries of knowledge with faculty research, and offering a portfolio of entrepreneurial and non-degree programs that deliver global impact. We invite you to be part of our mission of developing innovative, principled, and insightful leaders who change lives, change organizations, and change the world.

Executive Education is responsible for the development and management of all the school’s non-degree program offerings. The mission of our organization is to “use GSB faculty ideas to inspire global leaders to change their thinking and drive positive impact throughout their organizations.” Executive Education also provides an ideal vehicle for the GSB to experiment with innovation in both content and pedagogy.

The Executive Education department at the Stanford Graduate School of Business seeks a Program Manager. The Program Manager will work to plan, manage, and execute high-touch executive education programs, both online and on-campus, for senior corporate executives. The position involves overseeing program logistics and ensuring a seamless participant experience.

The Program Manager also supports the design and delivery of blended learning experiences that include asynchronous and synchronous components. They will collaborate closely with faculty, vendors, and participants to uphold Stanford GSB's high standards. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing various stakeholders, adjusting to the program's needs, and working outside regular business hours as required.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a team in a supportive academic environment. Stanford GSB offers a culture of innovation and collaboration. Blending learning environments adds variety and complexity to your responsibilities. With the trend towards hybrid education models, you'll be on the cutting edge of executive learning design and part of programs that shape leaders globally, contributing to the growth and transformation of industries.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position with the expectation of being onsite in a hybrid setting of at least 2 days per week. Full-time onsite will be required to support specific program operations and work is expected outside of the normal 8 am - 5 pm workday for special programs and events.

Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Serve as the key logistics contact for assigned face-to-face programs by managing all aspects of logistics, including facilities, lodging, food, evaluations, program materials, and amenities.
  • Implement, administer, and evaluate the program's day-to-day activities by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, interpreting policies, developing, revising, and implementing procedures, formulating and evaluating alternative solutions, and making recommendations.
  • Manage online learning platforms and facilitate Zoom sessions which may include polls, breakout rooms, and recordings.
  • Facilitate weekly teaching team calls between the faculty instructor and the contracted course facilitators.
  • Work alongside faculty to produce live online sessions for executive participants (prep the agenda, slides, and presenters for the session, set up for the session’s technology needs, be behind the scenes for faculty and participants during the session, and post the session’s recording afterward). Note: These sessions tend to require hours slightly outside of the university's normal business hours.
  • Provide technical support, course progress encouragement, and course advising for executive participants.
  • Set up, distribute, and summarize course evaluations; collect and analyze data, create reports, and reconcile expenses.
  • Manage, train, and track course facilitators/coaches.
  • Prepare online courses in the Learning Management System (LMS) and documents for the teaching team (roster/gradebook, weekly meeting notes, weekly expected tasks based on the course outline, etc.)

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Project management background or a solid ability to balance numerous projects.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where the team seeks innovations, efficiencies and new technology solutions.
  • Work with various audiences (from tenured faculty to seasoned contract facilitators/coaches and global executive learners as well as internal colleagues.
  • Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
  • Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfort with working both independently and as part of a team.
