Job Summary

Textron's Leadership Development Program (LDP) provides early career professionals with a mix of challenging work experiences with multi-industry movement, mentoring, access to leaders and training. Over the course of two years, our participants build valuable skills and networks at multiple Textron businesses. Our goal is to accelerate our participants professional development to create high-quality talent to fill key roles in the organization.

We're looking for a Program Manager to lead the delivery of 2-3 functions of the Leadership Development Program. Functions may include Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology, Environmental Health & Safety, and/or Human Resources. The ideal candidate is an accomplished, high energy, collaborative team member who has experience partnering with managers and leaders at all levels, and a proven track record of driving positive change. This role reports directly to the Manager, Leadership Development Program

Major Responsibilities and Initiatives Include:

  • Partner with functional leadership and Talent Acquisition to provide direction on recruiting strategy based on business and functional workforce needs. This includes identifying recruiting trends and making recommendations on workforce planning, optimizing school partnerships and events, and engaging with Textron interns to increase intern to full-time conversion.

  • Collaborate with functional leadership and business unit HR to execute LDP workforce planning and rotational placement for incoming and current participants, and repatriation placement for graduating participants

  • Partner with business unit management on LDP assignments, participant performance and training & development needs and provide support for employee relation issues, escalating to appropriate parties as necessary

  • Mentor and coach LDP participants, providing development feedback to support growth and enhance role effectiveness throughout and after the program

  • Create and deliver regular program updates to business and functional leadership to ensure quality execution of the program.

  • Plan and execute LDP function-specific curriculum and face-to-face meetings (orientation, functional conferences and program completion). Propose changes to conference content that addresses current and future capability and/or skills needed within functional areas or across the organization.

  • Continuously improve LDP standard processes, lead special projects, and provide backup support to other LDP functions, as needed.

  • Protect and maintain the privacy of employee personnel records including, but not limited to, personal and compensation information.

  • Oversee the intern interview process, including but not limited to securing qualified interviewers, making interview blocks and working with the LDP Specialists to ensure consistent, high-quality candidate experience.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

More About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field

  • Relevant experience in Recruiting, University Relations, HR Business Partnering, or similar roles supporting early career talent programs

  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor and strong influencer, building effective relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to approach complex challenges with thoughtful planning and strong problem solving skills

  • Comfortable engaging with senior leaders and navigating a dynamic, fast paced environment

  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail and execution quality

  • Highly collaborative and team oriented, with a willingness to step in where needed to ensure program success

  • Committed to delivering a best in class experience for program participants
