Salary: $43,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements:

• Were looking for someone early in their career with a foundational understanding of programming.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience such as a coding bootcamp or a strong portfolio.
• Basic knowledge of at least one major language or web technology in our stack, such as WP Engine, React, or HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Familiarity with databases and writing SQL queries.
• Working knowledge of version control tools, especially Git and GitHub.
• Strong analytical thinking and a logical approach to solving coding issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
• 1 year of programming experience preferred.
• Ability to work on Saturdays, especially during the initial 90-day ramp-up period.
• Ability to work on-site.

Responsibilities:

• We work closely with senior developers to write, test, debug, and maintain clean, functional code across our software applications.
• We write unit tests, investigate runtime issues, troubleshoot defects, and implement effective fixes.
• We participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and estimation discussions to better understand project needs.
• We take part in peer code reviews and use feedback to strengthen our work.
• We create and maintain technical documentation for features and internal systems.
• We continuously learn our existing codebase, follow team coding standards, and explore new technologies.
