Genesis10 is currently seeking an Information Security Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Information Security Engineering. You will review and analyze tactical Information Security Engineering assignments, present recommendations for resolving situations, and exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Information Security Engineering
• Review and analyze basic or tactical Information Security Engineering assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives
• Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations
• Exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Provide information to client personnel in Information Security Engineering

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
• Secure configuration/hardening fundamentals (Windows/Linux) and basic networking literacy
• Vulnerability management: validate, prioritize, coordinate remediation, document exceptions
• IAM fundamentals: least privilege, MFA concepts, account lifecycle basics
• Logging/monitoring fundamentals: common log sources, basic SIEM concepts, alert triage support
• Strong documentation, ticket discipline, and ability to present low-to-moderate complexity recommendations
• Collaboration and customer communication with IT partners; process improvement mindset

Desired skills:

• Scripting (PowerShell/Python) for automation/reporting
• Cloud security fundamentals (AWS/Azure/GCP) and/or virtualization basics
• Familiarity with security tools (EDR, SIEM, vuln scanners)
• Working literacy of common frameworks/controls (e.g., CIS Controls, NIST-style controls)

Pay range: $31.09 - $39.09 per hour
