JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
o Using customer part specifications in a variety of formats, develop operating programs to produce parts in the flat on laser and turret machines.
o Works from drawings, computer models, specifications, patterns, or templates to convert finished parts to flat pattern layouts for production.
o Programming using Solidworks. Create 3D programs for vertical mills and tow axis programs for the lathes.
o Communicate with other shifts to ensure a smooth transition of job from shift to shift.
o Comply with all Company policies and safety rules.
o Any other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead person. QUALIFICATIONS and COMPENTENCIES :
o CNC Programmer a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
o Skilled programmer is able to program, edit programs, set-up, and operate CNC vertical mills in a production environment for HAAS Lathes and HAAS Mills.
o Must be capable of programming and edit programs for HAAS Lathes and HAAS Mills.
o Skilled programmer is able to Program, Set-Up, Fixturing and Operate CNC vertical mills and CNC Lathes in a production environment.
o Shop math, understanding of flat pattern layouts, able to calculate set-backs / bend allowances.
o Detail oriented, analytical, quality-conscious, organized, effective communication skills.
o Effective blueprint reading / interpretation skills.
o Problem-solving and analytical ability sufficient to identify problems with the parts being made and processes utilized.
o Team player (able to work with others when necessary) but capable of working by self and a self starter.
o Experience with operating turret presses and / or laser desirable.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
o High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
o Minimum of 2 years’ experience CNC programming preferred.
o Minimum of 5 years’ experience in flat pattern layouts preferred.
o Experience with 3 and 4 axis vertical and horizontal mills.
o Experience with CNC lathe with Y axis Experience programming with Solidworks & SurfCam preferred.
o Familiar with ISO requirements. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
o Fast paced environment in a Job Shop and Metal Fabrication.
o Work environment : Cement flooring, seasonal temperatures, background noise of machining, steel presses, shearing machine, hammering noises, power tool operation.
o Safety PPE required : Steel toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection. Other PPE required per the specification of the job performed.
o Possible overtime but not guaranteed.
o Hazardous machinery and equipment.
o Repetitive movements : Reaching, carrying and lifting.
o Standing : Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Standing is on a frequent basis to perform job tasks.
o Sitting : Sit on rare basis (breaks or operating some machines).
o Walking : occasional to retrieve / deliver materials for performing a job task or to take part to quality inspection site.
o Squatting / Crouching : occasional basis to retrieve materials / supplies needed.
o Kneeling : not required.
o Lift : frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
o Stair Climbing : 20 stairs to break room.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots. Monday-Friday with flexibility to mandatory overtime on Saturdays.
1st shift-6am-2 : 30pm
2nd shift-2 : 30pm-11pm
Pay-$23 -$25
