Position Details

LOCATION: Miami, Florida ( IN OFFICE ROLE/NOT REMOTE)

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be helping lead team efforts on the web application for the CoinRoutes platform.

Our modern and cutting edge application stack is composed of ReactJS applications combined with multiple backend-services written in Python/Django and C, running on AWS.

Candidates will drive consistency and usability within the web UI, and thrive working in cross-functional teams to create an engaging, streamlined, and intuitive product experience for our clients.

The ideal candidate is performance-minded with strong JavaScript, react and CSS skillsets.
We prefer candidates with prior Fintech / Finance experience.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to new features, maintenance and bug fixing for our React frontend.
• Effectively communicate issues, features, and proposed solutions to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge
• Help estimate projects and tasks and responsibility for on time delivery
• Research, evaluate and improve the CoinRoutes interface for web clients
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Trading / accounting systems
• Modern JavaScript
• CSS
• React
• Redux (or another web framework)
• Experience with performance-intensive applications with frequent updates
• Understanding of algorithmic complexity and the react-redux life cycle
• Mastery of responsive design techniques
• Working knowledge of Git and GitHub
• Understanding of Webpack and Babel
• Proficient in using developer tools to debug and troubleshoot performance issues

Nice to have:

• Financial Technology experience
• Redux-Sagas / Generator Functions
• Python / Django
• TradingView Charts
• Experience with UX/Design
• Ability to write meaningful unit tests

Qualifications:

• 4 or more years of experience
• Able to drive consistency and usability within the web UI
• Ability to thrive working in cross functional teams
• Demonstrated competency in making interactive web experiences
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical people alike
• Collaborative approach to problem solving
• Self-starter with a thirst for knowledge and experimentation
• Eye for detail and ability to turn product/design dreams into realities
• Preference for working with and tweaking experiences for the UI layer
• Strong software product lifecycle management experience
• The independence to manage, execute, and take initiative without supervision
