About the Role

A well-established property restoration company in Kent, Washington is hiring a Business Development Representative to grow its water, fire, smoke, mold, and storm restoration work. You'll own outside sales in your market, building referral relationships with insurance agents, adjusters, property managers, plumbers, and commercial accounts so that when a loss happens, our is the one that rings. If you're a relationship builder who likes being in the field, knows (or wants to learn) the insurance restoration world, and is driven by results, this is a long-term career move.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow referral relationships with insurance agents, independent and staff adjusters, property managers, HOAs, plumbers, and other trade partners
• Prospect and win commercial accounts, including property management companies, multifamily, healthcare, education, hospitality, and facility managers
• Set up emergency-response agreements and pre-loss planning with commercial clients so we're first on site when a loss happens
• Plan and run CE classes, lunch-and-learns, and networking events for insurance and property management professionals
• Support third-party administrator (TPA) and insurance program work, and keep relationships with program carriers in good standing
• Track calls, visits, leads, and pipeline in the CRM, and report weekly activity and results to leadership
• Hand off new losses quickly to the operations team, and follow up with referral partners and property owners on job status
• Build and run referral and marketing programs, and represent the company at trade shows, chamber, BOMA, IREM, and insurance association events
• Respond to large-loss and storm events as needed to support customers and the operations team
• Meet or exceed monthly sales and revenue goals for your market

Required Qualifications and Credentials

• 2+ years of outside B2B sales, business development, or account management experience (restoration, insurance, construction, or property services preferred)
• Working knowledge of the insurance claims process and how restoration work is referred and paid
• Proven ability to build a referral network and close commercial accounts
• Strong presentation and relationship skills; comfortable leading CE classes and lunch-and-learns
• Experience with a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and Microsoft Office
• A valid driver's license is required; driving to client visits and job sites is an essential function of the role, and the driving record must meet company insurance requirements.
• IICRC certification (WRT or similar) a plus, or willing to obtain
