Senior Data Solutions Developer

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Data Solutions Developer to join the team in Mesa, AZ; Seattle, WA; Renton, WA; Everett, WA; North Charleston, SC; or Plano, TX.

The Data Solutions Developer will have a passion for building large scale software systems. We are looking for a teammate who is highly motivated and likes to solve challenging and complex problems across a variety of domains.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads and performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of highly complex computing applications and software system architectures or computing architecture and computing application system designs

• Works with SAP B4/Hana data modeling skills needed for data acquisition, ETL/ELT for analytics, integrations and connection to Cloud Service Provider (CSP) (AWS/GCP/Azure)

• Understands datastores object/Operational Data Store (ODS) views, hierarchies & master data, data governance standards, security & policies, integrations needed for SAP integrations with data lakes & cloud platforms

• Creates and implements repeatable and reusable patterns for delivering Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions

• Initiates and leads the analysis of end user processes to define application requirements

• Designs, implements, and optimizes end to end data pipelines framework, automation for ingesting, processing and transforming large volumes of structures and unstructured data

• Designs and implements data products, data storage solutions including relational databases, Datawarehouse, data lakes and cloud storage services

• Optimizes robust Extract Load Transform/Extract Transform Load (ELT/ETL) pipelines to gain scalability & performance of analytics solutions and operational use cases

• Builds and maintains integrations with internal and external data source and Application Program Interfaces (APIs)

• Writes and compiles highly-complex code and constructs based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications

• Leads and performs analysis of information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 5+ years of experience building platforms and data products

• 5+ years of experience working with data and data warehousing business solutions

• 3+ years of experience with cloud-platform technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Experience with data pipeline tools and Extract Transform Load (ETL) services

• Experience with the configuration of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for data ingestion

• Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) hardware and software integration

• Experience with C++, Python and Java

• Experience with IoT, digital thread and digital twin development capability on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• A Bachelor's of Science or higher from an accredited institution in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other technical degree

• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD practices, methodologies and tooling

• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or Team Foundation Server (TFS), GitLab, GIT, IIS, Windows Server

• Experience with PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry)/Tanzu and/or exposure to Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure

• Experience with Cloud technologies and/or Cloud-native app development and microservices
