As the Application Programmer, you will join a high-performing team dedicated to excellence, innovation, and mission-critical support. At Nexagen Networks, you will play a vital role in supporting Department of Defense programs by designing, developing, and maintaining secure and reliable software applications. You will work closely with program leadership, engineers, and government stakeholders to ensure application performance, system integration, and compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

Nexagen Networks is seeking a skilled Application Programmer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support mission-critical programs operating within U.S. government regulatory and security requirements. The selected candidate will support application development and system functionality through coding, testing, debugging, and integration activities.

Responsibilities include developing custom software solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, troubleshooting application issues, and supporting system enhancements and integrations. The candidate will also ensure application performance, maintain system reliability, and provide technical support to end-users while contributing to overall program success and operational efficiency.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy custom software solutions for the CMP.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and implement solutions.
• Maintain application performance, debug issues, and recommend system improvements.
• Provide technical support for end-users and ensure seamless integration with other CMP components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or an additional 2 years of industry certification and experience in lieu of a degree
• Certification Required: Security+
• Experience in web development and web application design
• Experience with database management (Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase SQL)
• Experience with testing tools and methodologies
• Proficient in PHP
• Proficient in C#.NET
• Proficient in JavaScript
• Proficient in CSS
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
