  • Build community support for the program (including faith-based community leaders, residents, businesses, and community organizations that provide services needed by program participants);
  • Coordinate, lead, and support regular mobilization and public education activities and organize a minimum of one anti-violence community event in the service area per month that brings residents together and discourages the acceptance of violence as a normal part of life;
  • Take a lead role in organizing community responses for all shooting incident and violent incidents (where applicable) that occur in the service area within 72 hours of receipt of notice of the incident;
  • Assure systematic recordkeeping on program performance indicators, participant caseload and program highlights;
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy, submitting timely and complete monthly program reports via prescribed tool/mechanism;
  • Create internal protocols for reporting staff and participant incidents;
  • Manage a team of 26 front-line staff including Outreach Workers, Violence Interrupters, and Hospital Responders including direct supervision of 4 supervisors;
  • Manager the hiring process for all SOS staff;
  • Document supervision and next steps;
  • Attend monthly program manager meetings, monthly calls, and any ad hoc meetings and required trainings;
  • Attend community-based meetings in primary service area;
  • Serves as a representative of the organization and program, as needed; and
  • Additional relevant tasks, as needed.
