We’re representing an innovative technology company in the automotive sector that is hiring their first dedicated User Experience Designer . This is a career-defining opportunity to take ownership of UX design across the business, shaping the direction of new and existing products used by a global customer base.
The Role
As the company’s first UX hire , you’ll lead design efforts company-wide, working closely with engineers, senior leadership, and product managers. You’ll take charge of developing new product wireframes, refreshing existing products, and driving user-centered design practices into the organization.
This is an onsite role (4 days per week, Buffalo Grove, IL) , with no visa sponsorship available.
What You’ll Do
- Lead UX initiatives across web, mobile, and PC-based product interfaces.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows for new products within your first few months.
- Refresh and modernize existing product interfaces.
- Collaborate with engineers and senior stakeholders to balance technical feasibility with user needs.
- Advocate for UX best practices and influence design decisions with data and empathy.
- Work independently on projects with minimal direction, delivering complete design solutions.
- Create intuitive interfaces for data-heavy products (charts, graphs, and visualizations).
- Stay current with UX trends and tools, continuously improving design processes.
