Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary :

As a vital part of the solution team, you'll develop and deploy software and control technologies on their EMS platform, ensuring adherence to their standards and project needs.

Collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers is key to delivering comprehensive solutions, while also mentoring junior team members.

Job Responsibilities :

• As a key member of their solution team, you'll develop and deploy software and control technologies on their EMS SW platform, adhering to their solution standards and project requirements to address electrical power and energy challenges.
• Youll primarily code in Java, leveraging your electrical engineering expertise to comprehend design documents and produce technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to deliver comprehensive solutions for projects, while also providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
• Opportunity for international travel for on-site commissioning work at solar, wind, energy storage, or hybrid power plants.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
• Over 2 - 5 years of proficiency in Java coding.- Inheritance, Interfaces, Lambda functions, Threads, and Synchronization
• Passion in Renewables
• Experience having attention to detail, in between the product and project delivery teams, and ability to multitask

Preferred :

• Electrical Engineering background
• Experience with TCP / IP Nework Commuinication Protocols
• Experience with Linux or Docker
• Knowledge of SCADA standards

Location : Herndon, Virginia

Package : $110,000 - $145,000 base salary (ON-SITE)
