Job Title : Production Supervisor Reports To : Production Group Leader
Location : Rossford Assembly Department : Production
Key Job Responsibilities :
- Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
- Ensure product quality meets internal and external specifications
- Maintain and operate equipment following procedures and best practices as defined in the control plan
- Drive consistency across all three shifts in Assembly.
- Audit shift paperwork / documentation to ensure it is completed and accurate
- Conduct process and product audits according to the work instructions
- Turn around any set asides and hold activity in a timely manner
- Communicate concerns, improvements and general information to the management team
- Troubleshooting and problem solving of manufacturing problems in the operations.
- Provide support to the process improver and line leader in pursuit of continuous improvement.
- Actively participate in area problem solving teams and other groups as necessary to achieve production goals.
- Check inventories and schedule. Plans and communicates production needs to the team leaders to ensure all production requirements are met and insure a good pass down before each shift.
- Provide training and guidance / direction to team members according to procedures and best practices to achieve short and long-term goals.
- Coordinate 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness.
- Audit employee time records using time keeping system and correct as needed.
- Administer progressive discipline as needed in compliance with the facility work rules and labor agreement.
- Fulfill assignments / tasks given by Production Group Leader.
Qualifications Required :
- Associates Degree or minimum two years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.
- Self motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Safety and goal oriented.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Demonstrated personal computer skills
Qualifications Desired :
- Bachelors Degree in Business / Organizational Leadership
- 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing.
- Automotive glass experience
