The First United Methodist Church of Lakeland is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Facilities.
This position is responsible for providing direction, oversight and management of the First UMC campus facilities, facilities staff, off-site locations, equipment, and vehicles.
Major skills required for the position are the ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, ability to make decisions independently, critical thinking, organizational and scheduling skills.
Knowledge of building maintenance, supply inventory, equipment and mechanical systems, including, but not limited to, commercial and residential HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, security alarm and access control systems.
Familiar with current local, state and federal codes, regulations, and standards. Must have considerable computer experience.
