SUMMARY

The Grants Management / Contract Specialist role will support a government program office in the acquisition of advanced research technologies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation acquisition process to support clients in the execution and management of federal financial assistance awards.
  • Maintain responsibility for providing expertise in financial assistance agreement development, contract rules and regulations, and STRIPES or similar federal procurement systems.
  • Work directly with federal contracting officers to complete a client's workload of executing new awards, no-cost extensions, administrative modifications, and administrative requirements associated with financial assistance agreements.
  • Perform contract management functions to support contracting officers and develop procurement documentation for award recommendations, reviews, and updates to the requirements.
  • Conduct strategic acquisition planning and analyze functional acquisition support documentation, including Statements of Work, Performance Work Statements, cost base analysis, and instructions.
  • Act as the liaison between business units and draft requisite briefings and documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience with acquisition / procurement management and / or federal grants management.
  • Attention to detail and ability to provide in-depth cost analysis related to the allowability, allocability, and reasonableness of costs being negotiated.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite- PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
