Drafts the digital media strategy ensuring alignment with Walmarts marketing and overall business strategy socializes with other marketing leaders and associates Strengthens technical digital marketing expertise connects with internal and external technology partners to drive Walmarts digital media strategy Contributes to digital innovation by socializing new and improved strategies and approaches towards internal and external partnerships that differentiate Walmart in the marketplace Utilizes deep technical knowledge and business acumen to advise on product development roadmap and user experience consults with technical experts and contributes towards product development
All Channels Digital Campaign Implementation and Management
Manages all aspects of multiple large and complex digital campaigns including developing and refining campaign plans and goal developing technical or creative calls to action and ensuring execution across campaigns Begins to integrate multichannel connection points within website eg Walmart.com to understand newer better ways to increase value and returns from all digital efforts Interfaces and consults with internal teams eg product engineering to provide input on site features and capabilities Manages relationship with external agencies and business technology partners and provides strategic direction to the digital team on most effective agency partners and their value to Marketing Continuously adjusts strategy and plans based on campaign ROI real-time trends and other insights
All Channels Creative and Brief Development and Planning
Partners with internal teams Creative Marketing Strategy and Planning to help draft creative direction and key messages for large and complex campaigns Leverages understanding of multiple digital media channels own and related to inform optimum media investment strategy Guides Digital Medias execution of the creative brief in collaboration with internal teams for complex campaigns initiatives identifies optimal processes touchpoints ensuring agility and process efficiency
All Channels Process Improvement
Consults with Digital Media leadership to understand future business needs and provides input into process workflow change strategy and approach Prepares team for upcoming changes in processes procedures
All Channels Budget Management and Financial Performance
Develops and leads oversight of multiple campaigns budget suggests readjustments to channel plans programs to ensure operational objectives are being met Develops projections budget forecasts for current and future campaigns provides input into digital media financial management and revenue metrics tracking
All Channels Collaboration
Collaborates with Marketing leaders external agencies key business technology partners and cross-functional leadership digital and instore to ensure digital marketing campaigns are developed and implemented effectively across the organization for their own channel as well as across all digital media channels Proactively develops new relationships with agencies and / or other strategic partners and acts as key relationship owner for existing partnerships
Channel Specific Social Strategy and Content
Supports the development of strategies for driving engagement on social media platforms including internal vs external agency support Provides guidance and expertise for social media content development eg guidelines playbooks toolkits Oversees the implementation of social media marketing agendas and roadmaps Drives key initiatives to develop community engagement on social media platforms
Channel Specific Paid Search
Influences strategic direction of paid search strategy as well as development and execution of paid search campaigns Builds internal support systems and processes to modify adapt and manage implementation of search engine marketing efforts Reviews budget reports including key performance indicators and develops calls to action based on the same Manages key third party platform and tool provider relationships as well as search engine business partner relationships Keeps abreast of best practices and standards for search engine performance and marketing
Channel Specific Organic Search
Influences strategic direction of organic search strategy as well as development and execution of organic search campaigns Maintains a high level of new and existing product understanding to ensure search success Builds internal support systems and processes to modify adapt or adopt new techniques and manage implementation of SEO efforts Evaluates search demand to identify growth opportunities for content and product champions cohesive analysis to predict demographically relevant topics Liaises with internal teams and business partners on SEO-related initiatives and provides actionable recommendations Keeps abreast of best practice and standards development for organic search performance and marketing
Channel Specific Performance Social and Display
Supports the development and implementation of Walmarts paid social and display optimization strategy by developing targeted channel plans and performance criteria for go-to-market strategies Reviews high-level data analyses and reporting to identify cross-channel trends and opportunities for customer conversion Provides expertise on optimization algorithms combining data analysis and feedback
Channel Specific Affiliates and Partnership
Identifies strategic partnership and affiliate opportunities Drives shifts in channel strategy Reviews channel data analyses and reporting to identify channel trends and opportunities Monitors performance and partnership marketing landscape for industry trends Executes partnership strategy from assessment and prioritization to negotiation and implementation to drive overall growth brand awareness and launch new digital distribution channels
Channel Specific Customer Relationship Management
Drafts direction for customer lifecycle planning and communications strategy for customer segments with a view towards improving engagement and customer lifetime value Oversees execution of communication strategy that supports customer relationship management priorities and aligns with objectives Develops a cross-channel perspective and ensures all communication and customer relationship management activities align and integrate with existing customer relationship management infrastructure Collaborates cross-functionally within and outside of Marketing to inform and promote customer relationship management plans and strategies Keeps abreast of industry trends and informs own team of new innovative techniques and approaches in the industry
