We're seeking a proactive and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor , stationed at KWS in Tangent , to manage mechanical maintenance services.
In this role you will manage mechanical maintenance services and personnel for field and facility operations in OR, WA, and AZ.
You'll work with department managers and / or supervisors to strategize, budget, plan, and implement all mechanical capital improvements.
You'll coordinate the implementation of process changes, derived from the QC, Production, and Research departments, through process change orders.
Additionally, you ensure all maintenance service performed are accounted for, within the field and facility operations, using a CCMS software program.
Essential Job Functions :
Responsible for ensuring all predictive, preventive maintenance services, and installations are completed. Timely documentation in the CCMS system and continued communication to departments responsible
Coordinate mechanical process changes in conjunction with the corresponding electrical and programming changes to ensure a timely, quality end result that is tested and fully operational when complete
Ensure NFPA, NEC, OSHA and Company standards are adhered to across all locations connected to KWS Tangent (OR, WA, AZ)
Coordinate daily activity and projects in collaboration with the Electrical and SCADA Supervisor
Assist with the facilitation of cultural objectives and company values to encourage a team work environment, collaboration, training, safety and accountability
Provide a team learning environment for staff, interns and apprentices, through a coordinated effort with HR, state and local agencies
Perform annual reviews, provide ongoing training recommendations, merit and promotion recommendations for all mechanical maintenance services personnel
Work closely with all levels of department management to budget services and capital investments; coordinate as appropriate
Responsible for onsite vendors during mechanical service and installations
Strictly enforce Company handbook, RGPs, E.H.S., Lock out Tag Out policies and Safety policies. Ensure all personnel are wearing personal protective equipment in designated locations and it is used correctly
Travel and / or drive and / or operate a forklift on behalf of the business on a frequent basis
Meet attendance requirements
Flexibility to work rotating shifts including on-call as needed (including weekend, night shift, and holidays)
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications :
Millwright Certification and / or Associate degree, or 10+ years’ work experience in mechanical and facility supervision
5+ years of work experience planning, budgeting, fabrication, and executing capital improvements in an agriculture or food production business
Ability to travel internationally
Be comfortable working within the facility and field operations throughout the year and seasonal on call 24 / 7 schedule
Able to supervise, train and assist with cross functional team building, coaching and mentoring with other departments
Training / Experience in MS Excel, Windows based applications, and CMMS software. Ability to train and operate HMI interfaces
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Agriculture or other related discipline
Experience integrating and training others in CMMS, MES, SCADA and PLC business systems
Reliable, motivated self-starter with strong leadership, organizational and communication skills

Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. using safe lifting strategies. Able to work in varied environmental conditions (loud, hot, cold, dusty, damp, indoors, outdoors etc).
