We are currently seeking a both lower level and highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic Technicians to join our team for a Metal Manufacturing client in Matthews, NC .
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal functionality within our facility.
If you have strong electrical experience, have worked in a manufacturing setting, and are knowledgeable of CNC Machinery, we want you!
Location : Matthews, NC 28105
Schedule : Monday through Friday 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM overtime required
Pay Rate : $22-$32 / hr. based on skill and experience
Duties :
- Responsible for providing oversight to interior and exterior repairs and upkeep needed for the overall functioning of the facility and rolling stock : over the road vehicles, forklifts, trailers.
- Assist with preparing schedule for repairing all machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
- Repair all machines that break down requires strong electrical knowledge and experience.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in repairs
- Maintain a preventive maintenance on all machines.
- Order parts for all machines when needed and maintain and manage inventory on all parts.
- Assist with scheduling contractors’ work in the plant.
- Assist in moving machines and departments.
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements for better production.
- Work with outside vendors on purchasing new and used equipment as well as maintenance of equipment that cannot be performed on site.
- Perform scheduled repairs on all over the road vehicles, trailers, and forklifts
- Secure plant for closing each night and assist with the morning start-up as needed.
- Ability to work late hours, including weekends when needed.
- Operate grinding, drill press, power tools.
- Welding tasks as needed
- Work with low voltage systems
- Assist production staff if needed
Experience :
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills :
- Proven experience in maintaining machinery and logic controllers
- Proficiency in reading and understanding schematics and technical drawings
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for accurate repairs
- Strong background in industrial maintenance practices
- Ability to work with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Welding skills for necessary repairs
- Knowledge of low voltage systems
- Experience in technical sales support is a plus
- Strong analytical skills to assess equipment performance
