Director of Human Resources is an integral member of the Human Resources team, responsibilities include...

  • Lead and direct Human Resources team including employee engagement, development, and performance.
  • Develop strategies and activities to address the staffing, payroll, benefits, compensation, and employee relations needs of the organization are met and ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Establish processes and relationships to maximize stakeholder engagement and meet their HR-related needs.
  • Effectively partner with Learning and Development to help ensure that internal stakeholders have a seamless experience.
  • Create and provide required reports, analysis, and quality assurance data.
  • Provide oversight of employee relations related issues including complaint resolution, agency claims, and problem resolution of internal conflicts.

Inform VP of HR regarding significant, sensitive, and high-risk issues.

  • Develop and monitor employment-related policies and procedures including development, communication, and compliance; and counsels / coaches, leaders in interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
  • Ensure HR related systems and infrastructure are up to date and managed for optimal performance.
  • Responsible for medical recruiting to include : acting point of contact, direct recruiting, locum and permanent placement agency management, negotiations, and compensation practices.
  • Manages HR related contracts and vendor relationships.
  • Works with the VP of HR in developing and managing the annual budget for the Department.
  • Mobility Clause : Based on business need, this position may be needed to work and / or travel on a temporary basis at any premises which the agency currently has or may subsequently acquire or at any premises at which it may from time to time provide services.

This position may require that the employee travel with or without notice as needed within the scope of the position responsibility.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Resources required.
  • Minimum Five years Human Resources experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Minimum Three years supervisory and leadership experience required.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of HR-related field including business management, communications, human resources, training, and organizational development.
  • Ability to develop staff and build a high performing team.
  • Knowledge of relevant state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to translate strategic plans into tactical activities.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Broad of knowledge in core HR-related domains including compensation, benefits, HR systems / processes, employee / labor relations, organizational effectiveness, and performance management
  • Ability to apply and translate strong business acumen to HR-related activities.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred
