Metal Fabrication Manager
Position : MetalFabrication Manager
We are currently seekingan experienced Metal Fabrication Manager to lead our productionteam. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeingand improving production processes managing staff and ensuring thatour products meet customer specifications and quality expectations.
This role involves strategic planning and coordination to ensurethe shop stays on schedule and within budget. The FabricationManager will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation forquality and efficiency in the industry.
Responsibilities :
Prepareand submit initial quotations and job costing for customerspecifiedproducts and stock production schedules.
Monitor work inprogress (WIP) to ensure products remain on budget and on scheduleand fill out timely and accurate WIP and InventoryReports.
Coordinate with Production Supervisors and theProduction Planner to establish production schedules includingpersonnel assignments.
Communicate material needs andrequirements with the Purchasing Department.
Serve asthe primary point of contact for Fabrication & MetalOperations orders.
Coordinate with other managers andemployees to schedule and manage shared resources and personnel asrequired for specific production demands.
Manage overallquality establish Quality Control measures and processes andmaintain quality standards to assure compliance with regulationsand production requirements.
Obtain quotes from thirdparties for supplemental production items as needed.
Attend and lead production meetings as required including bothcompany and customer meetings.
Investigate and resolvecustomer complaints identifying potential challenges within theproduction process and providing innovative solutions andproblemresolution.
Offer expert advice to customers withtechnical needs.
Conduct job site walkthroughs and sitevisits to analyze special job needs and requirements.
Participate in periodic audit reviews to identify and documentareas for future improvement.
Provide handson trainingand mentoring to team members in fabrication techniques.
Conduct performance reviews of team members to provide feedback andidentify training gaps and opportunities.
Qualifications :
10 years ofexperience in a manufacturing setting.
Associate orBachelor's degree in Engineering.
Indepthknowledge of metal fabrication and production techniques includingthe ability to read drawings and schematics.
Strongverbal and written communication skills.
Professionalismintegrity and a positive demeanor.
Strong problemsolvingskills.
Resultsoriented with the ability to workindependently and in a team environment.
Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite applications.
Strongorganizational skills with attention to detail.
Leadership aptitude preferred.
Valid driver'slicense.
Ability to coordinate with crossfunctionalteams.
Proficiency in Lean manufacturing 5S Six Sigma;Green or Black Belt preferred.
Familiarity with Trumpfequipment and CAD software preferred.
Bilingual inSpanish preferred.
