This position is responsible for working with DoD, IC, and Federal customers to develop, deploy and configure data centric solutions.

These solutions should adhere to best-practices, reference frameworks, regulations, and guidelines. Position requires interfacing with customer stakeholders and engineering teams.

Job Description

• Provide systems administration and engineering support to projects ranging from internal and contract to advanced system development across the enterprise.
• Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as system engineering plans, initial capabilities documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents.
• Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Develop system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis.
• Participate in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the life cycle.
• Derive from the system requirements an understanding of stakeholder needs, functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness.
• Develop derived requirements for Information Assurance Services (Confidentiality, Integrity, Non repudiation, and Availability);

Basic Information Assurance Mechanisms (e.g., Identification, Authentication, Access Control, Accountability); and Security Mechanism Technology (Passwords, cryptography, discretionary access control, mandatory access control, hashing, key management, etc.).

• Review and / or approve system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete.
• Support the planning and test analysis of authentication and authorization of appropriate systems.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
• Applicable experience with installation, configuration, management, and support of Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 and Linux servers including security practices and patch management.
• Working knowledge of virtualization techniques and technologies (VMware, HyperV).
• Strong knowledge of SIPR, NIPR & PKIs.
• Strong knowledge of data structure and system design.

Education and Experience

• HS / GED + 12 years
• Associates Degree + 10 years
• Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years
• Master’s Degree + 6 years
• PhD + 4 years
