Overview
McGuireWoods LLP is looking for a 2nd Shift Supervisor to help support the day-to-day management of the Business Resource Center (BRC) in our Charlotte, NC office.
The BRC provides extensive document services and technical support to the entire Firm. In addition to the management of staff and services, the Supervisor is the first line of contact for all internal clients.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proven supervisory experience and strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong customer service focus and the ability to effectively interact with people at all levels of the organization.
This position is for the 2nd shift - working 2 : 30 to 10 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
Supervises seven to eight specialists, assigns and directs work assignments, and determines work schedules and ensures adequate shift coverage;
addresses complaints, resolves problems and escalates to BRC manager as necessary
- Assists BRC manager with staff selection, performance appraisal, counseling and coaching
- Provides first line response to inquiries from BRC clients and escalates to supervisors and manager appropriately
- Communicates with BRC clients regarding document issues and timeframes for completion
- Works with BRC clients on a one-on-one basis regarding document issues and questions
- Works with the BRC manager to ensure that specialists are trained in all applicable software applications
- Assists business resource specialists with the production of documents ensuring that deadlines are met and that a quality product is delivered
Qualifications
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years related supervisory / management experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lead, motivate and direct the work of others
- Ability to prioritize workloads and adapt to changing conditions
- Excellent proofreading, grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
