The Maintenance Supervisor supports the Maintenance Manager in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all functions within the Maintenance Department, as well as supervises maintenance personnel responsible for the repair, maintenance, operation, and installation of production equipment.

The ideal candidate will have :

• High School Graduate / GED.
• Five years of supervisory experience in an FDA regulated filling and packaging environment, preferably in the personal care or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with maintenance concepts, tools, and techniques, including Performance Measurement, Cost Containment, PLC, PC robotic interface, Predictive and Preventative Maintenance, Computerized Maintenance Management, Environmentally Safe Practices, Electrical, Electronic Systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals.
• 10+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a production environment.

This position is responsible for :

• Leads, assigns, and supervises the activities of maintenance department to ensure performance expectations and production schedules are met in a timely manner and with a high level of quality.
• Motivates, coaches, and develops all employees within the department. Communicates performance expectations to department employees and delivers feedback as required.
• Provides technical expertise and participates in the repair, maintenance, operation, and installation of production equipment to reduce equipment downtime, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and improve vertical startups.
• Assists in the planning, scheduling, and documentation of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Orders (WO) on all production equipment including required Change Controls (CC).
• Conducts root cause analysis on OEE shortfalls. Develops and executes corrective actions that improve safety, quality, equipment performance, cost, and customer service.
• Identifies and recommends new / upgraded equipment and / or methods to improve productivity and capacity.
• Develops and / or updates SOPs and WIs related to the activities performed by or in conjunction with the maintenance department.
• Performs all work in a manner that is consistent with the company’s quality system and FDA good manufacturing practices, including always maintaining a clean and orderly area.
• Follows, promotes, and enforces KDC’s safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures.
• Assists the safety department and safety committee with investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards and / or incidents.
• Verifies all maintenance employees have received necessary training and are following all applicable SOP’s, Work Instructions, and cGMPs procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
