Position : Member Services Representative - Full Time - Overnight Hours

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Reports to : General Manager

Special Requirements :

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR / AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR / AED in the event of a medical emergency.
  • Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.
  • Must be available 3rd Shift Overnight

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Member Services Representative is responsible for creating a positive Judgement Free member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Handle all front desk related activities including :
  • o Answering phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
  • o Checking members into the system.
  • o New member sign-up.
  • o Taking prospective members on tours.
  • Facilitate needed updates to member’s accounts.
  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
  • Perform cleaning duties as required to maintain neatness and cleanliness of the club
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR / AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR / AED in the event of a medical emergency.
  • Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.
  • Close Shift for that business day.
  • Create bank deposit for next day.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member’s expectations.

  • Must be able to work 3rd shift (overnight)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR / AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR / AED in the event of a medical emergency.
  • Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.

ENVIRONMENT : Work is performed in an indoor environment; exposure to noise, dust, mechanical and electrical hazards, and cleaning chemicals.

  • PHYSICAL : Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk and stand, for prolonged periods of time;
  • to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties;

occasionally to lift, carry, push, and / or pull moderate amount of weight (up to 50lbs); and to verbally communicate in person or on the phone to exchange information.

Must maintain physical ability to administer CPR in the event of medical emergency.

Vision : See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing : Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
