Group Benefits Account Manager

The Account Manager must be personable and professional, and have the ability to multi-task. Knowledge of group benefits and Affordable Care Act desired, including but not limited to : medical, dental, vision, disability, and life.

Ohio Insurance License preferred, but can be retained within the first 90 days of employment.

• Must be comfortable communicating interactively with all levels of a company
• Resourcefulness and ability to prioritize tasks
• Knowledge of group medical, ancillary benefits, underwriting concepts and PPACA preferred
• Effectively communicates all aspects of the account management cycle with assigned clients
• Continued education of changing benefit laws and regulations
• Actively contributes to the growth objectives by identifying and pursuing opportunities for new and / or increased lines of coverage
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• Group life health sales license or the ability to obtain the license in 90 days is required
• Bachelor's (B.A.) degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Proficiency with MS Office Products : Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
• Ability and motivation to build and maintain strong intercompany and client relationships
