Mechanical Design Engineer
This is a full-time direct hire position that is looking to pay between $70k-$85k / year depending on experience. This position is fully onsite out of Edgewood, MD and is looking to hire asap.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of design or project engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
This position requires someone with SolidWorks experience and is also able to read and create engineering drawings. Responsibilities : Develop layouts and details of equipment for heat treat furnaces Participate in structured problem-solving activities to resolve internal and external problems Creation of detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for procurement of components used in machine designs Perform fit calculations Complete conceptual design of control systems Communicate with vendors and inspect purchased equipment and fabrications Assist with inspecting equipment at manufacturing facility Assist in performing buy-out tests on equipment Maintain engineering job file Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports Qualifications / Experience Required : Preferred- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Preferred - Masters in Mechanical Engineering or experience in related field Required - 1-2 Years of applied engineering experience Must have Experience with CAD and Solid works design software Preferred experience in industrial capital equipment Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Powered by JazzHR
