Youth Assistant Director

Arch Amenities Group, the world's leading spa, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking a Youth Assistant Director at the Youth Program at Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion!

The Youth Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Director in overseeing the licensed program and nursery, creating staff and student schedules, communicating with families, interacting with students, guiding activities, and following all Virginia state licensing requirements.

The licensed program is licensed for ages 5-12 and operates a different program during different times of the year : After School Program, Summer Camp, and Day Camp (LCPS closed days).

The nursery is a temporary drop-in care classroom for families using the Pavilion. Hours : 9am-6pm, with one hour break.

Minor schedule flexibility needed. Pay : $20-$25 / hr depending on experience. Responsibilities :

• Follow all Arch Amenities Group company and facility policies.
• Follow all Virginia state licensing standards.
• Produce staff schedules.
• Creating weekly schedules for students and families.
• Assist Director in supplies for the program as needed.
• Assist Director in managing the annual budget of the program and other financial management duties.
• Assists in filing and record-keeping in accordance with state standards.
• Directly oversees the nursery operations.
• Implements activities with staff and children. Produces activities that are developmentally appropriate to the ages attending.
• Work special events the facility holds.
• Attends staff trainings.
• Coordinate and submit work assignments in a timely and productive manner to Director.
• Attend continuing education training to maintain employment.
• Maintains confidentiality of program participants.

Qualifications :

• Must have High School Diploma or GED, college credits or degree preferred.
• Must have previous experience working with children.
• Must have supervisory experience.
• Must pass criminal and child abuse background checks.
• Knowledgeable of Virginia state licensing standards.
• Must be First Aid / CPR and MAT certified (company can provide both).
• Must be able to safely drive bus / van transporting children from school or to field trips and maintain clean driving record as well as follow all driving laws.
• Must be computer proficient, understanding of Google docs and sheets applications. Ability to learn new software.
• Time management and productivity skills.
• Ability to oversee staff, children, and make sound supervisory decisions.
