JOB PURPOSE :

The Software Development Manager will lead and manage our technical team in the design, development, and implementation of complex solutions for our enterprise applications .

The Software Development Manager will play a key role in setting and achieving strategic objectives while ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.

This is a hybrid role in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

KEY FUNCTIONS :

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to a team of application developers to foster professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to understand and analyze their requirements.
  • Lead discussions to design and develop enterprise systems, leveraging applications like ServiceNow and CRM, to fulfill business needs and objectives.
  • Drive the design and development of complex software applications, including customization and integration of enterprise applications.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
  • Analyze and resolve technical challenges and roadblocks faced during the development process. Proactively identify potential issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Oversee the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure reliable and bug-free software releases.
  • Lead the release and upgrade cycle, coordinating with other teams to ensure smooth deployment of enterprise applications.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage application development projects to ensure timely delivery and delivered within budget.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance the development process and improve efficiencies.
  • Monitor application performance and make recommendations to improve systems and enhance the user experience.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies for enterprise application development.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
  • Follow and serve as a role model in displaying Midco’s Core Values and Leadership Success Drivers.
  • Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
  • Maintain regular attendance to be available to provide direction and communication to team members.
  • Be available to provide assistance to team members outside of normal business hours as necessary.

  • Effectively communicate with other departments to handle escalating issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the mission, vision and values of Midco.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external customers to ensure exceptional service.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION :

  • 5+ Years of experience leading a team of Software Developers is required.
  • Experience in Dynamics 365 F&O or Dynamics CRM Development is required.
  • Experience leading a team of Dynamics 365 F&O or Dynamics CRM developers is preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Software Development experience is required.
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET and familiarity with modern software development frameworks and tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
