This is a hybrid position based in Springfield, Virginia.
Our client is in the process of modernizing its legacy, on-premises applications into AWS GovCloud using a serverless technology stack. We’re looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Developer who can develop, design, optimize, and manage our AWS Serverless Applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in React (with Typescript), NodeJS (with Typescript), and AWS Serverless architecture. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, write and test code, manage integrations, and proactively address risks. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys working in Agile teams, and excels at working remotely. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, taking initiative in undefined spaces, and working with a collaborative, high-performing team.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Collaborates with customers and partners to understand their business needs and the scenarios they aim to address.
- May lead or actively participate in meetings to gather and refine requirements, leveraging business, technical, and industry knowledge to define constraints and objectives.
- Engages relevant stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of customer goals.
- Supports project planning by identifying risks, dependencies, and contributing to key documentation.
- Clearly communicates the business value of proposed solutions, with guidance as needed, and implements strategies to mitigate technical and business risks.
- Manages personal workload effectively and maintains regular communication with project leaders.
- Proactively identifies and addresses issues or risks, engaging with internal and external stakeholders—including project managers—to ensure timely resolution.
- Writes and maintains integration and unit tests to ensure feature reliability and performance.
- Applies product expertise to collaborate with stakeholders, driving project and release planning within the team.
- Takes ownership of writing, testing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable code.
- Resolves complex system integration challenges, often working across team boundaries to deliver cohesive solutions.
