You can earn between : $55,000 - $105,000 annually based on experience (Pay Type : Hourly).

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled electrician to join our team, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems in residential, multifamily and commercial properties . This role involves working with various electrical systems, including lighting, climate control, security, and communication systems. You will also ensure compliance with safety standards, troubleshoot issues, and help improve electrical infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Inspect and repair electrical fixtures in vacant units and apartments to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Address tenant service requests, including repairs and replacements of outlets, switches, light fixtures, and fuses.
  • Plan and set up electrical jobs, determine materials needed, and ensure proper installation of wiring and conduit.
  • Install, test, and maintain electrical systems for lighting, climate control, security, and communications.
  • Replace circuit breakers, fuses, switches, and electrical components as needed.
  • Repair and replace damaged exterior lighting.
  • Perform electrical testing, monitoring, and recommend improvements or repairs.
  • Work with blueprints to install electrical systems and indicate circuit, outlet, and equipment locations.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and materials, and order additional supplies as required.
  • Lead and train new workers, ensuring adherence to client / owner procedures.
  • Ensure proper installation of fire alarm systems and related wiring.
  • Meet with inspectors, contractors, and owners, maintaining a professional image.
  • Lead team members to complete tasks efficiently and to high standards of quality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Education and Experience :

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required along with journeyman-level experience or the completion of an approved apprenticeship program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician specializing in residential, multifamily, and commercial projects.
  • Must possess a registered electrical license from the State of North Carolina.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Proficient in operating various hand-held tools and devices relevant to electrical tasks.
  • Must have general and specific knowledge related to electrical, including all safety rules and practices.
  • Must be able to read and apply blueprints / schematics and specifications, and be skilled in measuring and selecting appropriate materials to finish the project and operating power tools.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) are necessary, along with the ability to quickly learn additional software programs as needed for the role.
  • Physical Demands :

  • Employee is frequently required to travel to various properties to oversee maintenance projects
  • Daily movements include sitting; standing; reaching and grasping; operating computers and other office equipment; moving about the properties; and attending on-site meetings and off-site meetings.
  • Employee must be able to exchange information in person, in writing, and via telephone.
  • Employee must occasionally transport up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment :

  • Position generally works on properties, which may cause the employee to experience a range in temperatures and other weather conditions. The noise level may be loud and the environment may be more hazardous than a standard office environment. This position may be required to work with contractors as well as residents.
  • Employees must have access to 24 hour reliable internet service. Employees must also have reliable transportation to and from work, as well as, to get to and from multiple work locations based on business needs and assignments. Employee is responsible for providing own hand tools.
  • Position may require employees to work occasional overtime, nights, and weekends.
