Job Title:Maintenance Associate

Department:Operations

Reports To:General Manager

Status:Non-Exempt

Date:November 2023

Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour

*This position is eligible to receive tips*



Broad Functions: To repair and maintain all aspects of the building. These tasks are to be performed in a timely and professional manner to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the facilities.
  • Understand that our guest is our #1 priority.
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner (where applicable).
  • Maintain all tools and equipment needed to do the job. This includes cleaning, organizing, small equipment repair, and maintaining all storage closets and work areas.
  • Perform minor repairs, such as plumbing, painting, and electrical. Upkeep of equipment and the facility
  • Complete opening, on- going, and closing checklists as required.
  • Inform the Facilities Manager and the General Managers immediately of new building maintenance issues.
  • Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
  • Comply with all Maryland Department of Transportation (DOT) polices and contractual obligations.
  • Return all items used during your shift to the proper place, clean and organize all work and storage areas.
  • Meet with manager upon arrival to discuss shift set-up, and check out with manager before leaving to ensure duties are completed.
  • Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs
  • that need to be performed.
  • Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly in a timely manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with basic maintenance functions.
  • One year experience working in building maintenance.
  • High school diploma preferred or and Trade school
  • Verbal and written communication is essential.
  • Experience in dealing with facility issues/ wood working skills.
  • Ability to walk for extended periods to visit multiple unit properties.
  • Valid State Driver’s License required.
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
