Summary

Atlantic BT is seeking a dedicated, hardworking IT team member with strong Customer Support skills, IT operations experience, and a solid work ethic to join our full-time staff. Technologies utilized are AWS, Apache, NGINX, Linux, IIS, Microsoft Windows, Load Balancing, CDN, Redis, MySQL, MSSQL, NoSQL, varnish, DNS, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Compute.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with clients and ABT team members to provide excellent support via phone, email, and tickets

Design, build and scale customer and application-specific hosting environments

Troubleshoot web application performance and security problems

Install / configure / upgrade servers

Perform web application load testing and benchmarking

Perform security scans and mitigate problems or vulnerabilities

Perform server administrative tasks

Perform network administration tasks, including DNS, and IP subnetting

Perform firewall policy tasks

Perform migrations of legacy web applications and software

Script complex tasks and deployments using PowerShell, BASH, Python, or Ansible

Provide after-hours support and respond to monitoring alerts on a rotating schedule

Write documentation for team processes and procedures

Write documentation for infrastructure, software, changes, and deployments

Contribute to and ensure Atlantic BT IT policies, standards, and procedures are consistently being achieved

Represent Atlantic BT internally and externally as an expert IT resource

Provide project architecture design input and project retro feedback

Requirements

3+ years of experience in cloud hosting applications and related activities

Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud in Production Environments

Linux

Microsoft Server

MS SQL Server

MySQL

Dependable and professional

Positive, self-motivated, quick learner

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

Ability to work independently and with a team of peers

Ability to recognize tasks that need to be completed and willing to take responsibility for them

Experience in any of the following is a plus :

Experience with infrastructure as code and CI / CD automation

Web application development knowledge and experience in one or more of

Node.js
