Posting Information Posting Number PG193724EP Internal Recruitment No Working Title Director of Non-Degree Credential Program Innovation Anticipated Hiring Range Commensurate with Experience and Education ($82,902-$120,000) Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm Job Location Raleigh, NC Department About the Department The Office of Instructional Programs (OIP) collaborates with colleges and other units for effective academic planning that equips NC State undergraduate and graduate students with an outstanding experiential education. It also enriches the broader NC State community through the support of lifelong education programs. Units within OIP include NC State Continuing and Lifelong Education (NCSCaLE), Digital Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA), the Institute for Advanced Analytics and the Peter A. Pappas Real Estate Development Program; the office also provides direct supervision for university wide instructional programs.OIP provides leadership and support for a wide range of activities, including academic and lifelong learning program planning and development, academic partnership development, and new academic initiatives to serve all learners better and respond to the changing landscape of higher education. The office will foster a culture of innovation and strategic thinking to ensure that OIP’s academic policies, procedures and structures support program innovation that furthers NC State’s goals, values and strategic priorities. OIP’s strategic plan has four key goals :
- Provide central support for planning and coordination of academic and non- credit instructional programs;
- Establish a clear and comprehensive NC State lifelong learning strategy;
- Develop and implement new academic infrastructure to support interdisciplinary courses, curricula and programs; and
- Lead the digital transformation of higher education to enhance necessary teaching and learning experiences.

Essential Job Duties The Office of Instructional Programs provides strategic and operational support to academic units in designing, developing, launching, and evaluating innovative non-degree credential programs. As a key team member, the director will report directly to the Senior Vice Provost for Instructional Programs and work closely with the Vice Provost of Continuing and Lifelong Education and NCSCaLE’s Director of Continuing and Professional Education (CPE). This position supports the planning, development, implementation, and oversight of non-degree programs and enhances NC State’s capacity and knowledge base regarding non-degree credential program development. Collaborate with NCSCaLE and DELTA to collect program assessment data, leveraging feedback for continuous improvement and sharing insights and recommendations to inform program development and enhancement.
