Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Security Consultant (Intelligence & Operations) opening for our client in Orange County, CA.

Location : Orange County, CA

Duration : 3 months

Duties :

Provide intelligence and operational support for security operations center (SOC) activities.

Assist with incident response, endpoint security monitoring, and threat analysis.

Conduct security event triage, investigation, and escalation as needed.

Support the development and tuning of detection use cases.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective handling of security alerts and incidents.

Maintain accurate documentation of findings, incidents, and investigative procedures.

Skills :

Strong technical execution skills in endpoint security, SOC workflows, and incident response.

Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse teams.

Experience :

1–3 years of professional experience in SOC operations, incident response, or endpoint security.

Demonstrated ability to respond to and investigate security incidents.

Experience working in onsite security operations preferred.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred.

Practical security certifications required (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, ISC2 CC).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $43.00 to $59.75 / hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
