Job description

Monday-Friday (8 AM- 5 PM)

Primary Purpose

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and related support to ORS Nasco customers.

Major Responsibilities

  • Answers inbound calls and provides customer support regarding product information / pricing, special order information, quotes, order status, price / quantity deviations, etc. Expedites customer requests.
  • Researches product and order information for customers. Documents all customer interaction on orders.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves customer issues and handles complaints.
  • Works with large reports dealing with backorders, non stocks, drop ships, etc
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure that customers receive excellent service at all touch points.
  • Understands and demonstrates ORS Nasco Core Values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills / Knowledge Required

  • Customer Care Order Entry Level 1 skills
  • Advanced Trend knowledge
  • Advance communication skills
  • Proficient in product categories and assortments
  • Proficient in identifying potential discrepancies prior to or during order entry
  • Knowledgeable in 1 additional support task
  • Exhibit the willingness to learn and expand their knowledge in other processes within Order Entry or Support Functions
  • Advanced data entry skills
  • Meets Performance Expectations
  • Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior customer service / industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of ORS Nasco call center / industry experience preferred
  • Physical Requirements

  • Hand-eye coordination to effectively operate a computer and ten-key calculator.
  • Specific vision abilities : close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus.
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen (hearing).
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a work station.
  • Ability to reach with arms and hands.
  • Proper lifting technique; ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
