Job description

Century Group's client in Solano County seeking a highly qualified Controller with manufacturing background. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $160,000 to $180,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems, processes, and controls
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Work closely with department heads to develop departmental budgets and monitor budget vs. actual performance
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex. financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
