SLR International Corporation is seeking an Associate-level Geologist or Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to join our Anchorage or Fairbanks, Alaska operations. The candidate selected for this role will work within our Alaska Land and Water Group, supporting a variety of functions related to contaminated site investigation and remediation. Preferable candidates will have experience in consulting and / or industry, preferably focused on Alaska projects. Job Description Required Technical Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, or related field required (Master of Science preferred)
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental consulting required
- Proficient in fieldwork tasks such as soil sampling, groundwater sampling, borehole logging, well installation, soil-vapor sampling, and soil and groundwater remediation
- Excellent written / verbal communication and organization / analytical skills
- Ability to work on a team and independently in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software
- Possess valid driver's license
- Willing to commit to field assignments of up to two weeks away from Anchorage
- Ability to travel by airplane and car, including frequent overnight travel during the field season
