Job description

DSP Communications Engineer

🚀 Join a cutting edge aerospace and defense organization where you will perform real time Software Defined Radio (SDR) and protocol processing systems development. We are looking for a DSP Engineer with proven capabilities across a wide range of wireless protocols to conduct research, build prototypes, and deliver operational systems that directly support national security missions.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: This role requires an ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance with SSBI. US citizenship is mandatory. No Green Cards or non US citizens will be considered.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • ✅ Develop engineering solutions to collect, process, and exploit RF signals for intelligence and defense applications.
  • ✅ Apply deep knowledge of digital communications including detection, estimation, and demodulation techniques.
  • ✅ Develop modeling techniques, produce proofs of concept, evolve prototype solutions, and deliver operational systems end to end.
  • ✅ Write production grade C/C++ and Python code for real time signal processing on Linux hosts.
  • ✅ Work autonomously on cutting edge research and development for SDR and protocol processing systems.
  • ✅ Collaborate within distributed team environments while managing your own technical roadmap.
  • ✅ Apply code management best practices using Git and contribute to technical documentation.

What You Bring to the Role

  • 🔹 Active TS/SCI clearance with SSBI. US citizenship is mandatory and will be verified.
  • 🔹 Bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 🔹 5 to 20 years of experience in DSP engineering with proven capabilities across multiple wireless protocols.
  • 🔹 Strong C/C++ and Python development skills for real time systems.
  • 🔹 Deep knowledge of digital communications including detection, estimation, and demodulation.
  • 🔹 Systems development experience within the Intelligence and Defense communities.
  • 🔹 Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision.
  • 🔹 Familiarity with code management tools (Git) and excellent written/verbal communication.
  • 🔹 Preferred: Knowledge of Software Defined Radio (SDR) and XMIDAS familiarity.
  • 🔹 Preferred: Geolocation theory and techniques, plus experience working in complex RF environments.
  • 🔹 Preferred: Knowledge of wireless air interface protocols and multi-threaded signal processing algorithms in Python/C++ on Linux hosts.
