• AIR Carolinas | HVAC Equipment, Parts, Service & Solutions Across NC & SC Job Description : The HVAC Estimator II is responsible for developing comprehensive cost estimates for HVAC projects, analyzing blueprints, and ensuring accurate labor and material pricing.
• This role requires experience in commercial and industrial HVAC estimating, as well as collaboration with project managers and vendors to produce competitive bids.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability, and physical demands required.
• Perform detailed take-offs and labor cost analysis for HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and controls.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive material and labor pricing.
• Utilize HVAC estimating software to create detailed project proposals.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to ensure accurate pricing.
• Support the preparation of bid proposals and cost summaries.
• Attend pre-bid site visits to understand project conditions.
• Conduct value engineering reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers and sales teams on proposal development.
• Assist in bid presentations and contract negotiations as needed.
• Work with the Salesperson to secure engineer approval to quote if our products are not listed.
• Ability to understand customer needs and meet those needs with a successful product sale.

Experience and Requirements :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

Experience :

• 3-5 years in HVAC estimating, preferably in commercial and industrial projects.

Technical Skills :

• Proficiency in ductwork design, piping, load calculations, and controls estimating.

Software Proficiency :

• Microsoft Excel, Quick Bid, FastPIPE, AutoCAD, PlanSwift, BlueBeam and estimating software.
• Should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
