What's in it for you:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Tech II who will support testing of ULT platforms along with the fabrication and design of POC ULT products.
What you will do:
Documentation of parts and bills of materials
Develop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods and processes
Work from oral engineering instructions or written procedures, schematics, drawings and sketches.
Ability to lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments. Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems. Detects and corrects own errors.
Must be customer driven, innovative and quality minded in performance of all assigned duties.
Develop and exercise good communication skills.
Maintains awareness and adheres to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel.
Receives generalized information and instruction pertaining to assignment from engineers or senior staff. Work direction, content and accuracy reviewed by engineers or senior department members.
What you will bring:
4+ years of experience of refrigeration systems in lieu of degree or Associate’s Degree (AA)
Support Testing of Refrigeration Systems on Helmer Products and Support Laboratory Testing Documentation and Procedures.
Assist prototype mechanical part validation efforts of ULT Product Lines
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness and safety boots to safely perform job duties
Must be able to twist the trunk of your body 90 degrees in each direction
Must be able to squat and touch the floor with both hands
Must be able to reach your hands over your head
Must be able to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods, routinely up to 4 hours
This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing ladders. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 lbs.
Must be able to maneuver confined access areas, as small as 30” vertical x 45” horizontal.

$49,400.00 - $69,755.00
