Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Java Engineer to join our dynamic development team. As a Backend Java Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance backend systems. Your primary focus will be on developing server-side logic, ensuring high responsiveness to requests from the frontend, and collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and Development : Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code. Develop and implement backend services and APIs to support new and ongoing projects.
• System Architecture : Collaborate with architects and other engineers to design scalable and robust system architectures.
• Integration : Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Database Management : Design and optimize database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and perform database migrations. Work with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Performance Tuning : Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Security : Implement security and data protection measures. Stay up-to-date with security standards and apply them to the development process.
• Testing and Debugging : Write unit tests, integration tests, and perform debugging. Ensure code quality and maintainability by conducting code reviews and following best practices.
• Collaboration : Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Documentation : Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of code, system designs, and APIs.

Qualifications :

Experience :

5+ years of experience in backend development using Java.

Proficient in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Fix all gaps in existing Passkey product flows (ios android (other OS))

Enable Passkey registration on platforms where implementation is possible but missing (e.g. All browsers on Windows, Chrome / Firefox on MacOS, Password Managers)

Passkey login basics :

Enable Passkey login on platforms where implementation is possible but missing (e.g. All browsers on Windows, Firefox on MacOS, Password Manager)

Improve coverage of buyer pre-identification for Passkey login (Target experience : User shown passkey login prompt with no click)

Auto-focus + Conditional UI (Target experience : User shown passkey auto-fill prompt with no click)
