JOB DESCRIPTION
Now Hiring a Director of Learning & Development
The Director of Learning & Development ensures Farm Credit of Florida is a learning organization, supporting employee development and growth for career success and progression. This role leads Training Specialists and oversees the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning initiatives across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment with business priorities and scalability for the association. Position may be remote or hybrid and must reside in Florida. Travel is approximately 30% of the time.
Responsibilities :
- Represents the Association in a professional and enthusiastic manner by providing an exceptional level of customer service in all interactions with internal and external customers.
- Translates organizational goals into learning priorities that support employee development, leader effectiveness, and culture-building.
- Cascades the vision of the L&D function across the organization, establishing its role as a strategic business partner.
- Regularly review training content and delivery methods to ensure relevance, scalability, and alignment with organizational needs.
- Creates framework to build skill proficiency and progression across core positions in the organization.
- Develops team of training specialists to implement effective training programs across the organization.
- Collaborates with leaders and HR to identify gaps, needs, and opportunities for employee growth and development.
- Leverages LMS to track and deliver trainings.
- Works with subject matter experts to create internal courses to build proficiency in topical areas.
- Leads large-scale learning initiatives and organizational projects with strong project management and time management skills.
- Develops and maintains processes for ongoing content review and knowledge management.
- Navigates resistance and facilitate organizational change through thoughtful communication and structured implementation planning.
- Ensures effective onboarding program and role transition planning.
- Establishes and implements a comprehensive learning evaluation framework, including Kirkpatrick Levels 1-4, to assess training impact and effectiveness.
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess the following :
Education : Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Organizational Development, Education, HR, or related field preferred.
Experience : 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, including at least 5 years in a leadership and supervisory role.
