Job description

Analyst, Investor Communications & Marketing

About the Firm

Los Angeles Capital, the "Firm", is a global equity manager of assets for leading institutions around the world. The Firm is recognized as a pioneer in dynamic equity management, utilizing proprietary technology to engineer equity portfolios that adapt to today's equity market. The Firm's senior investment professionals have worked together for three decades developing models for measuring and forecasting return and risk of global equity securities. The Firm manages approximately $40.1 billion as of December 31, 2025, across a wide variety of public equity strategies designed to meet institutional client return and risk objectives. The Firm has been ranked for seven years in a row by Pensions and Investments as one of the "Best Places to Work in Money Management." The Firm's working environment places a strong focus on teamwork and values work-life balance. The Firm offers a competitive compensation package that includes health care plans, 401(k), and top-tier benefits. The Firm is 100% employee-owned through a holding company structure and seeks to retain and motivate employees' long term. Los Angeles Capital firmly believes the quality and commitment of the individuals are vital to the success of the Firm, ensuring that client expectations are exceeded.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Associate Director, Investor Communications & Marketing, the Analyst will join the Investor Communications and Marketing Group (ICM). ICM supports the Firm's brand awareness efforts and produces written and presentation-based collateral (e.g., pitch books, RFPs, factsheets, newsletters, and thought leadership publications) used in communications with clients, prospects, consultants, and media. This is an internally facing role that focuses in particular on supporting Relationship Managers by delivering accurate, compliant, and on-brand materials that enable institutional prospecting and ongoing client servicing. The Analyst will also collaborate with other departments, such as Portfolio Management, Research, Legal, and Compliance, to coordinate inputs, manage workflows, and deliver high-quality materials on deadline.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Firm's investment philosophy, strategies, products, and positioning to support institutional prospecting and client servicing
  • Support Relationship Managers by developing and maintaining prospecting materials (e.g., pitch books, factsheets, meeting briefs, and follow-up packages) and coordinating timely internal responses to incoming information requests
  • Contribute to the development, formatting, and proofreading of written and presentation collateral to ensure accuracy, consistency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with brand standards
  • Assist in the coordination of reviews and approvals with Compliance, including tracking edits and maintaining required documentation prior to distribution
  • Help maintain the Firm's presentation reporting system, consultant databases, and other related sales and marketing systems and platforms, ensuring data accuracy, timely updates, and usable reporting for Relationship Managers
  • Assist in the delivery of quarterly updates to core firm and strategy materials by coordinating inputs across teams and ensuring updates are completed on schedule
  • Organize and maintain prospect and client materials (digital and print) to ensure information is current, accessible, and compliant
  • Help in the preparation of RFPs, DDQs, and other due diligence requests by coordinating inputs across teams and assisting with required responses and attachments
  • Contribute to ICM strategic initiatives, process improvements, and other projects as assigned

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 23 years of relevant experience in sales support, marketing, investor relations, client service, or a similar role (asset management experience preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to produce client-ready materials
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfort learning new systems
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve processes and support content development
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with sound judgment, discretion, and follow-through
  • Analytical capability to support market and peer research, identify trends, and synthesize findings for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player who can build effective working relationships across departments
  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to the highest ethical standards

This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA which requires weekly attendance.
