is currently seeking a Network Services Journeyman to support the HNI Division at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and / or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and / or video

and recommending network requirements.Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.Analyzing network workload.Monitoring network capacity and performance. Diagnosing and resolving network problems.Recommending network backup and recovery procedures.Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software; and / or ensuring the rigorous application of information security / cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.Thorough knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls.Must be able to use / configure / troubleshoot / operate Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and / or HP network devices.Education and Experience : Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoDOR, Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoDOR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD.Other Position Requirements : Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.Must be able to complete a U.S. government background
