If you have questions before applying, contact our Recruiting Team at recruiting@rionequipment.com or 402-891-7555.

Sponsorship Program

What You'll Receive

As a RION Equipment CO-OP Student, you'll gain much more than classroom experience.

Our sponsorship program includes:

  • Paid tuition for an approved Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or related equipment program
  • Books, required fees, tools, and RION Equipment uniforms provided
  • Paid summer internships with competitive hourly pay
  • Hands-on experience working alongside experienced technicians
  • Personalized mentorship throughout school and internships
  • Career opportunities with RION Equipment upon graduation

What You'll Do

While attending school, you'll combine classroom instruction with hands-on experience in both the shop and the field.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Work alongside experienced technicians inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing material handling, construction, and aerial equipment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Learn industry-leading diagnostic and repair techniques using advanced tools and technology.
  • Participate in technical training and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop safe work habits while following company policies and procedures.
  • Represent RION Equipment professionally at work, school, and within your community.
  • Build the technical skills needed for a successful career as an equipment technician.

What We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Have earned your high school diploma (or will graduate prior to program start).
  • Plan to enroll, or are currently enrolled, in an approved Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or related equipment program.
  • Have strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through school, hobbies, work experience, or personal projects.
  • Enjoy solving problems and working with your hands.
  • Provide excellent customer service and work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a strong attendance record and positive attitude.
  • Are committed to maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
  • Have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Intend to pursue a long-term career with RION Equipment after graduation.

About RION Equipment

Program Expectations

Students selected for the sponsorship program are expected to:

  • Maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Successfully complete both classroom and workplace learning requirements.
  • Demonstrate RION Equipment's core values in school, at work, and in the community.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
  • Make satisfactory progress toward graduation while actively participating in internship opportunities.

Why Choose RION Equipment

At RION Equipment, you'll work on a wide variety of material handling, construction, and aerial equipment while learning from technicians who are committed to helping you succeed.

You'll gain practical experience that complements your classroom education, allowing you to build confidence, sharpen your technical skills, and prepare for a rewarding career in the equipment industry.
